Biography

Ratnapriya is a national-level artist and a versatile professional singer who has performed over 500 live stage shows. She is blessed with an exceptional melodious voice which keeps her winning hearts and love from listeners.

The early years

Ratnapriya was born on 25th September 1994 and started her musical journey merely at an age of 6 years by learning classical music with her guru Pt. Bajrang Lal Gupta. Gifted with an extremely melodious voice, she did her first stage performance at an age of 7yrs. Continuing her vocal training, she received many awards and was given a name of „Nanhi Lata‟ by the District Magistrate of Jamui, Bihar in 2002. Taking forward her higher Studies, she started learning from her Guru Pt. Dilip Narayan Khawarhe in Deoghar, Jharkhand where she explored and got to learn various forms of Music. Since then, she never turned back in her musical career and performed in various parts of India as a versatile performer.

Ratnapriya’s song ‘Chhathi Mai Hokhi Na Sahay’ received ‘BIG Chhath Geet Awards’ by BIG FM for the best Chhath song in UP-Bihar-Jharkhand. She also received the ‘Best Singer Award’ for the same in 2020.
